IndyCar Weekend - What's Happening
Help Infineon Raceway Twist Its Way into the Record Books
Race fans are invited onto the race surface on Sunday to perform a dance that best describes the most challenging road course in the country - the Twist. Participants will be required to Twist for five minutes in the style made famous by legendary singer Chubby Checker in 1960. According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the world's largest Twist dance took place in Yorkshire, England, in 2004, when 1,691 high school students and staff danced to Checker's classic hit. Infineon Raceway hopes to shatter that record in front of the main grandstand as all fans are invited to participate. What better way to kick off great racing than with The Twist?

Firefighters and their families can save $25 on Peak Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County tickets. Infineon Raceway will honor these courageous men and women for their incredibly heroic efforts at this weekend's PEAK Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County during Firefighter Appreciation Day on Sunday, Aug. 24. The first 10,000 race fans that enter the raceway on Sunday will receive a FREE commemorative bracelet.

Grand Prix Gala
Infineon Raceway will host the 4th annual Grand Prix Gala on Friday night, Aug. 22, at a beautiful winery in Sonoma. All proceeds from the gala will benefit the Valley of the Moon Teen Center and Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma through Speedway Children's Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway. To reserve a seat or table at the Grand Prix Gala, contact Denise Silver at 707-933-3950. Individual tickets for the evening, which includes a cocktail reception, dinner and program, are $200. Tables of 10 are available for $2,000.
Track Talk - Friday and Saturday
Race fans are invited to the Wine Country Winner's Circle during the Peak Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County race weekend for intimate question-and-answer sessions with top drivers. Track talk sessions will take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11:15 a.m. at the south end of the grandstand.
IndyCar® Series & Grand-Am Driver Autograph Sessions - Saturday
Fans will have a chance to meet many of the stars from the Grand-Am Series and IndyCar Series at driver autograph sessions on Saturday, August 23. The IndyCar Series autograph session will take place at 3:30 p.m. under the north end of the grandstand.
Speedway Children's Charities IndyCar Charity Auction - Sunday
It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a pace lap with star drivers like Helio Castroneves, Dan Wheldon or Danica Patrick around the world-famous road course. All proceeds benefit Speedway Children's Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway. The auction will take place on Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Wine Country Winner's Circle.
Live Music by Total Eclipse - Sunday
Total Eclipse is guaranteed to drop your jaw and make you dance this weekend! This band will impress with a mix of rock and pop tunes from the rocking days of the mid 70s to the new wave progression of the 80s. Check them out on the stage in front of the main grand stand during pre-race ceremonies.
AAA Designated Driver Program - Sunday
Come by the AAA Designated Driver Program booth to become a designated driver for your group. Just fill out a pledge card - under the direction of the AAA- and receive a free bottle of water.
Speedway Children's Charities Booth - Sunday
Visit the Speedway Children's Charities booth to learn more about the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway. Speedway Children's Charities is dedicated to raising money for needy youth organizations in Sonoma County, and has distributed more than $2.6 million since 2002.
Pre-Race Activities - Sunday
Airshows America's Patriots Jet Team Air Show
Race fans will want to be in their seats well before the start of Sunday's main event in order to enjoy the Patriots Jet Team Air Show. This show, performed in four 1983 L-39 Ex-Military Jets, will feature 20 minutes of beautifully choreographed maneuvers, including diamond formation loops and rolls. Don't miss it!
Military Fly-by
Tilt your head to the sky as race fans will be treated to a traditional military fly-by prior to the start of the Peak Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County. They fly-by will take place after the singing of the national anthem, so keep your eyes to the sky.
Armed Forces Support
Pre Race Activities will also include a ceremonial flag opening as well as military canon explosions provided by the US Army. You just never know what will show up on the road course during pre-race of the Peak Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County.
