Goodguys Nitro Nationals Nostalgia Drag Races

The Goodguys Nitro Nationals roared back to Infineon Raceway, April 23-24.

The thunder of Goodguys nostalgia drag racing returns to the Infineon Raceway quarter-mile drag strip in 2006. The 17th Nitro Nationals will feature the look and tire-smoking power of front-engine dragsters from the 1960s, with the technology and safety of today's race cars. Racing will be featured in seven professional classes, highlighted by the 250-mph, tire-smoking action of the Nostalgia Top Fuel class. Fans will also enjoy on-track action from Junior Fuel dragsters, six-second A/Fuel dragsters, 200-mph AA/Gas coupes, Nostalgia Eliminator (7.60 index) and full-bodied A/Gas cars (7.60 index). More than 400 nostalgia cars are expected to turn out for competition on the lightning-quick drag strip. Off the track, spectators can stroll through the show 'n shine car show, featuring beautiful cars from 1972 and earlier, and the vendor midway.
