Human-powered racing will return to Infineon Raceway for the third year with the Cougar Mountain Classic in 2006. The event, which debuted in May, 2004 as the California Outdoor Sports Championships, will feature the best in world-class and amateur cycling, including: road circuit racing, road criterium racing, mountain bike cross country, mountain bike short track, and gravity disciplines featuring mountain cross and dual slalom. Racing will take place on the 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course, the quarter-mile drag strip and throughout the hillsides of the Infineon Raceway facility.
