The California Army National Guard Wednesday Night Drags returned to the Infineon Raceway drag strip, Oct. 24, after a one week hiatus.
Racing action was dominated by past winners including Cotati's Dave Hall who scored a win in Jack Pot over a very determined Melissa Westerman of Sonoma. Earlier this year, Hall claimed the biggest win of his career at the Infineon Raceway National Open event, July 25, winning the 10.90 indexed Super Street over some of the best racers in the country.
Only two events remain for the 2007 California Army National Guard Wednesday Night Drags. Action returns to the drag strip on Halloween, Oct. 31. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. with eliminations beginning at 5 p.m. Cost is $25 for competitors, $15 for students with their high school identification card and $10 for spectators. Infineon Raceway Food Drive and Wednesday Night Drags
Help support the Infineon Raceway Food Drive. As a one-time special offer, any person who brings at least four non-perishable food items to the Wednesday Night Drags events on October 31 or November 7 will receive a $10 voucher towards Wednesday Night Drags admission in 2008.
All of the food will be donated to Friends in Sonoma Helping (FISH) in Sonoma and the Napa Valley Food Bank. For more information, call 800-870-RACE.
If you cannot make it to either of the final two Wednesday Night Drags events, you can drop off non-perishable food items to your local Mary's Pizza Shack or Infineon Raceway from Nov. 1-Nov. 16.
