BULLETIN: Michael Waltrip to Compete in Southwest Series Event

Michael Waltrip fans will get to double their pleasure at this year's NACAR NEXTEL Cup weekend at Infineon Raceway, June 24-26.

Waltrip has announced that he will compete in the Blue Lizard Australian Suncream 200, which will take the green flag on Saturday at 1 p.m. (Pacific). The NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series race will span 64 laps around the 10-turn, 1.99-mile road course.

The two-time winner of the Daytona 500 (2001, 2003) will be joined by other NASCAR NEXTEL Cup regulars Kyle Busch (MRG Motorsports), Boris Said, Travis Kvapil (Snap-on Tools) and Hermie Sadler. Kvapil will pilot his Snap-on Tools Dodge as the company celebrates its 85th anniversary.

Kevin Harvick was the last NASCAR NEXTEL Cup regular to take the victory in the Southwest Series event at Infineon Raceway in 2003, also for Snap-on Tools. Watch as Waltrip, Busch and the others slug it out on the serpentine circuit. It's your chance to catch some of NASCAR's stars on Saturday; don?t miss out as great seats are still available!
