The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is moving West next week for a two-day test session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Jan. 28-29. Virtually every NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team will be in Las Vegas for the test, held in advance of the NASCAR weekend there in March.
The series has already hosted two test sessions at Daytona International Speedway, Jan. 7-9 and Jan. 14-16. Kasey Kahne, who will pilot the familiar Budweiser for Dodge in 2008, was quickest in the two combined sessions with a speed of 189.811 mph.
The 2008 season is right around the corner with the 50th annual Daytona 500 set for Sunday, Feb. 17. Infineon Raceway will celebrate its 20th anniversary of NASCAR Cup racing in 2008 with the Toyota/Save Mart 350, June 20-22.
