Wednesday Night Drags and Top the Cops action resumed on the world-famous quarter-mile drag strip at Infineon Raceway, April 30, as area police officers took wins in three out of five categories against local high school students. Students taking wins in Top the Cops were Novato's Mandy Anderson and Concord's Rachal Neufeld.
In Wednesday Night Drags racing, Napa's Bill Rossi claimed his first-ever win in Comp Rod. Repeat winners included St. Helena's Mike Mitchell (Jack Pot), Novato's Doug Love (Motorcycle), Santa Rosa's Nitro Nick Eagan (Sport Street) and Rodeo's Doug McCay (Street).
Wednesday Night Drags racing returns to the Infineon Raceway drag strip, May 7. Gates open at 3 p.m.; competition begins at 5 p.m. Cost is $25 for competitors, $15 for students with their high school identification card and $10 for spectators. For more information, call 800-870-RACE ext. 209.
